Materne Industries has launched a new line of fillings with a high aeration content. The solution includes a chocolate mousse with 50% aeration. Other innovative flavors presented at SIAL include a marshmallow flavor.
This is Robin Wis at the Cal in Paris, and I'm here with Francois Bonnier from Maura, and Matternna are launching a new solution here for aerated fillings for for sweet products.
Francois, can you tell me a little bit about this concept and what's possible?
So as every year, Matternne brought a new innovation range.
What we're going to focus on today is two different products.
So we have a kids's world, that's the main line of our, of our range, 3 different lines, beverages, candies, and chocolates.
What we have here is a chocolate mousse, stable.
It's a water-based chocolate.
I rate it up to 50%.
So what we do is we sell the product, our customers a rate it, deposit it, or inject it in their products, and that's the result they have.
That's a stable mousse that won't rehydrate your products and you just stay stable.
What type of products is it suitable for or applications?
It's suitable.
For biscuits, bakery products, and pastries in general.
Another range in that collection is the beverage.
So what we have here is a pina colada.
So when you taste it, you'll feel the pineapple puree that we put in and all the coconut fibers.
So very, very nice products that we can use for different applications too.
As you can see, the texture is a little different, that's where we're strong.
To bring all kinds of different textures from mousse to texture products.
The, the last range that we have in that collection is candies, so we, we went and brought, brought out all the, all the famous candy flavors that we can find from cola to strawberries, and that's where our, all our customers can use this product for kids.
OK.
Are these type of products being used commercially already?
Not yet.
We bring the innovation to our customers.
And we let them work with it, and that's where we're strong too.
We bring them innovations.
OK, but you see a big trend towards using more kind of aerated fillings in cars.
Yeah, that's definitely where we want to go.
We're strong with that technology.
The only thing that's left to do is find a, find somebody that would use it.
It's really a product that's ready to be made.
We're waiting for the right partner to start this.
OK.
Another big trend that you're showing here at CL is a new app that you've developed in order to, , to, to link you more with R&D teams from your customers.
Can you explain a little bit of how that works?
I'm actually going to show it to you.
What we have here is the application that Matern developed.
It's called Mix Your Dreams.
So what you find here, after you register to our website, APP-sh Matternindustries.com, you will be able to mix the kind of fillings you want.
So here you can choose between fruits, savory, desserts, or others.
Here I chose fruits, so I can, I can just go in which one, find everything I want, put the percentage of fruit I want, give me some more information, choose the application, if it needs to be bake stable or not, the water activity level, different wishes, kosher, halal, organic, go into the nutritional profile and fill out the calorie content, the presence of fiber or not, the fat content.
And if I want it to be with added sugar or not.
Then as soon as I press the push button, an email will directly go to our mailbox and we'll receive the request, make the sample, send it to you directly.
OK, what type of benefits will this offer your customers then?
What we bring here is reactivity.
We have a lot, we applied what we want our suppliers to do.
We saw that it was easier that way on the go to, to make a request instead of sending us an email or a call or having to do a visit.
It brings us, it brings our customers closest to her, to us, and it makes everything more convenient.
