Fi Europe 2025: Rousselot drives collagen innovation across everyday foods and beverages

So you're showcasing a wide range of tasting concepts this year.
Which product formats are generating the strongest interest for food and beverage brands exploring collagen powered innovation?
So generally when you think about collagens.
Customers brands are looking at the formats that would really appeal to consumers generally, and convenience is one that is really key for consumers.
And so I think there are quite a number of formats that are quite popular in that particular regard.
So you think about liquid shots, stick packs.
However, we are always exploring.
Innovating and coming up with new ideas that actually help customers build brands that really appeal to their customer base.
So Nexa GC is positioned as a 1 aligned collagen peptide.
From a formulation standpoint, what makes it suitable for applications like beverages and snacks without compromising the taste and the texture.
So Nextida GC is one of our latest innovations when it comes to collagen peptides.
It's a specific collagen peptide that has been formulated to target, as you mentioned, the body's own production of the hormone, and it's really great in such a way that it is versatile and actually allows for use in a wide variety of applications.
So the formats are really Endless.
So think about anything from beverage applications, liquid shots, bars.
It withstands most of processing parameters, so high heat, low pH, and it's quite versatile.
So formats, I don't think it's quite a problem when you're considering using Nex GC in most applications.
So it's easy to incorporate in most applications.
And Rousselo is also highlighting peptan's heat stability in bakery and drinks.
How does this expand opportunities for collagen fortified everyday foods and beverages beyond the traditional supplement space?
Absolutely, yes.
So this again goes back to its versatility again, right?
So Peptan is also an extremely versatile product.
Yes, heat stability is just one of those parameters, but there are other parameters as.
You think about.
Low pH withstanding all the different processing parameters, so you think about that and you think about Peptton being positioned in such a way that it really helps to be used in a wide variety of products.
It gives brands the opportunity to be a bit more innovative when ideating for new formats in this space.
Many of your prototypes balance indulgence and nutrition, so for example, reduced sugar, more protein, added fiber.
Can you tell us what challenges manufacturers are bringing to you as they try to reformulate popular products while keeping sensory properties intact?
Yes, of course.
One of the major challenges for most brands is ensuring that they are bringing nutritious products onto the market.
Without compromising tastes and texture, tastes and textures are really important to consumers, and so I think that here again our products are positioned in such a way that the organoleptic structure of our products is really clean.
It goes into solution very easy, and so you don't have any unpleasant unpleasant attributes that would significantly impact.
Your end product.
So I think that with our line of products, when you think about either Peptin or Nextida, you have products or ingredients that you can really literally drop into your formulation without a significant impact on flavor and texture and even in some cases actually supports and provides a better texture.
