IFT First 2024: Nexira combines carob and acacia fibers for improved gut health

At IFT First in Chicago, US, Nexira showcased inavea, its extended range of prebiotic acacia fiber, which is organic and carbon neutral and offers a clean and natural solution for improving the nutritional profile of F&B and supplements through fiber enrichment. Charlotte Wallart, product manager for the company’s Food Division, tells us more.

Yeah, nice to meet you, Joshua.
So what's are you showcasing today at the show?
Today we are launching at the IFT the latest reference in our Inaa range.
So Inavia carro and AK.
A few years ago, Nextera launched Inavia, which is a full range of clean label, organic and carbon neutral prebiotic acacia fiber, and we are extending this range with a new reference.
And what would you say are the main sort of consumer trends you're looking to tap into with these solutions?
In fact, these solutions provide prebiotic fibers, so we are combining the two fibers of carob and acacia, and thanks to an Xvivo study, we did show that these two great fibers were complementary and also boost the microbiota diversity.
Meaning that with those two fibers combined together we obtain really nice results on microbiota and gut health.
In this study, and you can go on the website also to have more information, but you will see that we have more spices in the gut health which ensure a good.

Yeah, OK.
And you mentioned earlier carbon neutrality.
How are you achieving that with these products?
Yeah, it's really important for the next round.
We are really involved and we have, we do have an Program for the carbon neutrality and we are involving with experts and associations to ensure that all the products in the range are carbon neutral.
As a final question, what are some of the end consumer applications for these products?
Inn carabacacia can meet expectations in terms of of nutritional improvements, nutritional benefits, probiotic fibers, for example, nutritional powders, and in fact, We warranty 75% of fibers and we have a dosage of 5 g per day for this product, so it can meet expectations in this kind of application nutritional powder, functional beverage also, gut health shots, for example, or smoothie.
Yeah, we are working on different recipes and application, so yeah, that's great, Charlotte.
