MANE to Acquire Cargill’s Texturizing Compounds Business
30 Apr 2014 --- MANE and Cargill have agreed on the sale of Cargill’s compounds business, including a plant in Rubi, Spain. A part of Cargill’s texturizing portfolio until now, the compounds business has specialized in blends of a wide variety of functional ingredients. It has developed an advanced position in the segment of technology compounds for the meat processing industry in Spain and other large meat markets in Europe.
MANE has a strong position in the meat processing industry in France with its MEAT PRO operations and centre of excellence. This addition is complementing and strengthening MANE’s expertise in the domain to become a European leader in the sector.

The new entity will operate under the umbrella of MANE IBERICA. Terms of the agreement are not disclosed. The timeframe for closure of the proposed sale will be contingent on customary consultations as well as regulatory approvals.
