Paul Bom of The Vegetarian Butcher sees the vegetarian trend getting bigger and bigger, and cites the fact that the big meat suppliers are also moving into the vegetarian space. The Vegetarian Butcher is now introducing more specialized products like its Bapao No Beef Ketjap, Petit Pâté and Petit Filet à l’Americain. A hot new product this year, co-branded with Unox (Unilever), is a combination of its vegetarian meatballs in Unox’s tomato sauce. Bom describes the product as a success beyond The Vegetarian Butcher’s expectations so far.
