08 Oct 2021 --- IFF Health’s Beau Bogemans and Vanessa Azevedo – who originally hails from DuPont Nutrition & Bioscience – give an update about the mega-merger nearly a year after completion. The new company has married DuPont’s science focus with IFF’s production and extraction expertise. The next year is also set to bring a host of launches, including products with women’s health, digestion, immunity and detox positionings.
06 Jul 2020 --- DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences has rolled out a new eco-centric food and beverage brand, Danisco Planit, with new offerings in solutions for plant-based beverages, dairy alternatives, meat, fish and seafood. Meat shortages throughout the COVID-19 pandemic are noted by company executives as having an upswing effect on the appetite for meatless offerings. As this grows more prominent, the diversification of products is now key for meat and dairy alternative producers to retain this viability.
05 Feb 2020 --- DuPont was highlighting two enzyme solutions for dairy products at FiE 2019 in Paris, France. One of them facilitates sugar reduction – up to 35 percent – while generating prebiotic dietary fiber in situ through the natural conversion of lactose. Using Nurica, manufacturers can fine-tune the sugar, fiber and lactose content of their dairy products to achieve multiple nutritional claims that benefit consumers who are either lactose intolerant or generally in search of healthier choices, explains Clementina Dellomonaco, Global Product Manager & New Business Development, Dairy, at DuPont.
13 Jun 2016 --- DuPont launched their HOWARU Protect EarlyLife probiotic at VitaFoods Europe 2016 as part of its premium ingredient range. The new, clinically tested probiotic has been demonstrated to support the development of long-lasting immune health benefits in infants. HOWARU Protect EarlyLife contains the probiotic strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001TM, and has been formulated specifically for expectant mothers and their infants.
21 Aug 2014 --- DD Williamson (DDW) recently completed the acquisition of the food coloring product line and related processing equipment from Danisco USA, a part of DuPont Nutrition & Health. DDW’s expanded natural coloring operation in Port Washington, WI has manufactured all products following the transaction in December 2013. The acquisition broadened DDW’s portfolio of natural color solutions for customers and positioned DDW as the largest manufacturer of annatto-based food colorings in North America.
29 Jan 2021 --- This week, DuPont’s anti-Listeria solution was backed by nisin approval in the Middle East and Africa and raised flour tariffs hit Irish bakery sector under the new “market-distorting” Brexit trade deal. Meanwhile, Beyond Meat and PepsiCo launched The PLANeT Partnership, a pilot program targeting innovation in plant-based snacks and beverages.
11 Dec 2020 --- Europe’s largest plant-based meat production facility is on course to open in England, while Nestlé makes its official plant-based food debut in China with the launch of Harvest Gourmet, it’s plant-based food brand. Barry Callebaut revealed how it slashed its overall footprint by 8.1 percent in the last year.
