02/08/05 Symrise has consolidated its Aroma Chemicals and Cosmetic Ingredients divisions into one new entity, Symrise Sensory Ingredients (SSI). As a result, Symrise now has three divisions: Flavors, Fragrances and Sensory Ingredients.
According to the company, there are many advantages to consolidating the smaller Aroma Chemicals and Cosmetic Ingredients divisions into one large unit. These multi-facetted benefits include a better use of synergies and a more streamlined management structure, which in turn means shorter reporting lines. The new division complements the existing overall structure perfectly, as it supports the two other divisions Fragrances and Flavors in an ideal fashion.
The new division also puts Symrise in a position to react to market trends quickly and flexibly as well as respond to consumers' expectations of products and brands.Consolidating the divisions will allow the corporation to be able to develop more of what is known as multi-sensory products. These are products which create a new dimension of experiences for the senses.
The new Symrise division Sensory Ingredients creates unique aroma chemicals and innovative cosmetic raw materials and active substances . The division gives the corporation another unique selling proposition on the market. "A world of new product ideas and creative product combinations with wide-ranging added value will open up for our clients," says Dr. Klaus Stanzl, global head of the new division."With our three divisions, we can now put synergies to better use and react more quickly to our clients' wishes and projects throughout the world, " Dr. Gerold Linzbach, Symrise's CEO, commented. "We want to continue to expand this structure with deliberate acquisitions which will move Symrise forward."
