Solarec and EPI Ingredients Form Milk Powder Partnership
Epi Ingredients will commercialise all of the milk powders produced in Recogne. This alliance will provide the agrifood industrialists with access to a wider offer of milk powders to meet their growing demands regarding quality and functionality.
16/07/07 Solarec and Epi Ingredients have decided to join forces to develop their offer of powdered dairy ingredients for the global agrifood industries market.
Epi Ingredients, a subsidiary of the two French co-operative groups Coopagri Bretagne and Terrena, commercialises more than 65,000T of dairy ingredients per year and bases its strategy on adapting products to the specific needs of each one of its customers.
Solarec, a dairy farm based in the dairy region of the Belgian Ardennes, is run by two co-operatives, LAC+ and Laiterie Cooperative de Chéoux. It produces over 45,000T of milk powders in its Recogne-Libramont facility, for which it has just conducted an investment boost of more than 20 million euros, among others for the construction of a new drying unit.
As of 1 September 2007, Epi Ingredients will commercialise all of the milk powders produced in Recogne.
