Made from high quality ingredients and real sugar, Snapple Red Teas are available in unique flavors that complement the Rooibos taste, including Acai Mixed Berry, Peach Pomegranate and Mandarin Tangerine.

10/01/07 Snapple, maker of The Best Stuff on Earth, announces the national availability of Snapple Red Teas, a line of naturally caffeine-free teas that contain protective antioxidants and Vitamin C, and contribute to a healthy immune system.
Made from the Rooibos plant found only in South Africa, Snapple Red Teas are the latest addition to the brand's "good for you" platform launched in 2006 with light tasting White Teas and a line of Green Teas that boost metabolism with the natural antioxidant EGCG.
Snapple, the leader in the super premium tea category, is the first national brand to bring a ready-to-drink red tea to the mass market.
"We've seen green and white teas explode in popularity in 2006 because of their functional benefits and antioxidant contents," says Bryan Mazur, VP of Marketing for Snapple. "We have great expectations for red tea to have a business impact because, in addition to being an excellent source of antioxidants, it is naturally caffeine free and its Vitamin C content benefits the immune system."
The Rooibos plant, also known as the Aspalathus linearis bush, is an herbal tea that is sweeter and fruitier tasting than black or green tea. Rooibos, which is Afrikaans for red bush, develops its signature red color during the fermentation process when the leaves of the plant oxidize.
Made from high quality ingredients and real sugar, Snapple Red Teas are available in unique flavors that complement the Rooibos taste, including Acai Mixed Berry, Peach Pomegranate and Mandarin Tangerine. Snapple Red Tea contains less than 100 calories per bottle.
Snapple also added a White Tea and Green Tea to the line of super premium teas. Snapple Green Teas are packed with 55 mg of EGCG per bottle and are authentic, all natural teas made with real sugar -- but less of it -- making them more refreshing, while maintaining a natural, healthy goodness. Studies of green tea consumption indicate that consuming 300mg of EGCG throughout the day boosts metabolism. Snapple Green Teas are available in regular and diet Original, Mango and Asian Pear flavors at a suggested retail price of $1.39.
Snapple's super premium line of White, Green and Red Teas is available at major retailers, grocery and convenience stores nationwide in a 17.5 ounce bottle for a suggested retail price of $1.39.
