Sabinsa Corporation Settles Soy Patent Lawsuit with ADM
As part of the settlement, Sabinsa agreed that ADM's patents were valid and enforceable, and that the company's GENIMAX products infringed on those patents. However, both parties agreed that Sabinsa's infringement was unintentional and not willful.
05/10/06 Sabinsa Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of high quality herbal extracts, cosmeceuticals, minerals and specialty fine chemicals, today announced that it has settled a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), which charged that Sabinsa's GENIMAX soy-based isoflavone products infringed on ADM's patented technology. As part of the settlement, Sabinsa agreed that ADM's patents were valid and enforceable, and that the company's GENIMAX products infringed on those patents. However, both parties agreed that Sabinsa's infringement was unintentional and not willful.
