Raisio to Cut 65 Jobs
Streamlining of group structure started in spring and will now be followed by reorganization of Food Division. The turnover of the Food Division in 2005 was EUR 210 million i.e. half of the group turnover and the Division is loss-making.
31/08/06 Finnish based Raisio said that it is set to cut approximately 65 jobs (some of which may be temporary) in a bid to make a cost saving of EUR 9 million in 2007.
Raisio reported that its performance has been unsatisfactory and the growth slower than planned. Streamlining of group structure started in spring and will now be followed by reorganization of Food Division. The turnover of the Food Division in 2005 was EUR 210 million i.e. half of the group turnover and the Division is loss-making.
For financial and production reasons Raisio will begin the codetermination talks in Food Division’s administration, sales and marketing and margarine business. Furthermore, the codetermination talks will take place in group service functions, purchasing and logistics as well as in r&d, which will be integrated into the businesses.
