PAVA Strengthens Position in South Korea
The company entered the South-Korean market in July 2008, negotiating with both wholesaler traders and manufacturers of bakery, confectionery and pasta.
27 Jul 2009 OJSC PAVA, the most rapidly developing exporter of the Russian grain processing industry has announced to open a trade representative office in Seoul, South Korea, as part of export expansion strategy. The company said this move underscores its commitment to cooperate with countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
The new branch office will promote new partnerships and exchange of information, as well as help better serve the needs of the growing customer base. To recap, the company entered the South-Korean market in July 2008, negotiating with both wholesaler traders and manufacturers of bakery, confectionery and pasta.
“Today, from among the countries we work with, the Korean market opens up the most attractive possibilities”, says Alena Krasikova, Director General of PAVA Export. “We believe that the new representative office will strengthen the company presence on the South-Korean market of flour products, allow us to be closer to our customers and deal directly with contract fulfillment issues”.
“PAVA plans to hire highly qualified personnel and apply to official bodies for the necessary permissions and support”, she added.
In recent years, PAVA’s market has become increasingly global - in 2008 the company stepped up its flour exports by 84%, and enlarged the number of partners.
