Danisco Animal Nutrition Launches Next Generation Feed Enzyme
Based on a 4-year development programme and extensive trials, the multi-enzyme product has demonstrated net feed cost savings of at least USD 7 per ton, in addition to those already gained from including phytase in the diet.
2/11/2011 --- Danisco Animal Nutrition has launched Axtra XAP – a new generation feed enzyme combination that promises radical feed cost savings to help US broiler producers meet the challenge of rising feed costs.
Based on a 4-year development programme and extensive trials, the multi-enzyme product has demonstrated net feed cost savings of at least USD 7 per ton, in addition to those already gained from including phytase in the diet. Importantly, Axtra XAP’s combination of xylanase, amylase and protease enzymes has been specifically designed for more complex corn-based broiler diets which contain phytase and higher fibre ingredients such as DDGS. These component enzymes are optimised to maximise nutrient availability.
Launched at the International Poultry Exposition, Atlanta 2011, Axtra XAP represents an exciting step forward for the broiler industry, bringing radical feed cost savings with advanced flexibility in diet formulation. Axtra XAP is available as a free-flowing, low-dust granule, thermostable to 203°F (95°C), capable of surviving the majority of feed manufacturing processes without compromising bioefficacy.
Rachel Crowe, Marketing Director, commented: “The launch of Axtra XAP at IPE is good news for US broiler producers looking to lower their feed costs, while retaining energy efficient performance. We believe that the timing is perfect and this new technology will be especially welcome at a time of unprecedented raw material prices and intensifying pressure to produce quality broiler meat at an affordable price.”
