Daniel Bermeo Managing Director of Terrafertil notes the potential for golden berry in on trend applications. “Golden berry is a berry that grows in Ecuador and Colombia. Ten years ago we saw the potential in trying this product and distributing it around the world. Now we are producing it not only in its native form, but also in different ways such as coating with 100% cocoa. We managed to make a drink with golden berry, which we manufacture at our facility and take to the UK and blend it with other interesting products that come from our part of the world such as chia or maca powder.” The company is set to launch Montie’s Golden Bites as a kids’ snack next month, which features chewy chunks of goldenberry and raw cacao.
