It's Elizabeth Green.
I'm at FIE 2017.
I'm with Christine Cudahy, who's the application scientist at DDW.
So Christine, what are the new innovations from DDW?
OK, so we have a number of new innovations this year that we're promoting here at FIE, we have our Nature Brown range, which is a clean label which are clean label solutions for caramel colors.
So these are come from 100% natural sources, such as caramelized apple, caramelized onion, caramelized tomato, and caramelized garlic.
We also are promoting our remote tech range which include beta carotene and paprika emulsions, and these are available in clear and cloudy forms.
And these were mainly developed for working in beverages, but they work in a wide variety of applications as.
OK, fantastic.
So what are some of the trends that you're seeing from customers visiting FIE?
There's been a lot of Trends kind of for clean label natural products.
So here at DDW we actually have a range of number 3 solutions which include burn sugars and coloring foods.
And with with these products there's a range of, there's a range of hues such as red, orange, green, yellow, and red.
OK, fantastic.
And what regulatory challenges.
Have you of a cup.
Lately we have been seeing a lot of requests for, palm-free products.
So recently we've reformulated all of our products to make sure that they are palm-free and also all of our products are non-GM.
OK, so obviously natural colors is going to be a big thing for 2018, but looking into next year, what can we as an industry expect to see?
I would think just still a move towards kind of health conscious, so a lot of, lots more clean labeled solutions.
OK, fantastic.
