ISM & ProSweets: Awema streamlines solid and filled chocolate production with OS8 Smart Line

Awema presented its automated OS8 Smart Line for manufacturing chocolate pralines, balls, tablets and other forms, with capabilities to produce up to 50 kg per hour. With heated mass hoppers, two different masses can be processed into one end product. In addition to solid products, filled balls, eggs and other formats can be produced with up to 80% filling and 20% shell in just one operation.
This is Benjamin Ferreira on the show floor of ISM and Pro Suites at Cologne, Germany, and I'm here with Adriano De Monaco, and he's a chocolate technologist at Avima here to share some insights about his latest, the newest machine from the company.
Can you start by sharing some insights about how this machine works?
Yes, of course.
Hello, this is our new smart line.
It's for little confessors or mid-sized confessories, so we can produce up to 50 kg per hour, and we can do one shot massive products.
We can produce also tablets.
And what is special about it, you have a whole line, the stacker, a dosing system, a vibration belt, cooling paternoster, and an automatic demolding station.
So everything is combined really smart.
So that's why we call it smart line.
And what's special about this, you have A technology also inside these small machines.
You can have the synchronized procedure with our advanced one shot technology and it's very easy to use, very fast to change the whole system, so you can have multiple dosing systems and can be switching really fast and it's also advanced.
Because everything is very clever assembled.
This machine can do a bunch of pralins, balls, tablets.
It depends on what you wish.
Many things are possible with the machines.
Yes, and what are the new innovations?
You have a manifold system combined with a tamper, so you only have to look for the fillings.
You can change them independently, flush the filling system, and start again.
And you also have the automatic de-stacker so you can prepare the molds.
And you only have to remove the molds, refill it, and take out the products.
So these are your key functions.
And as a chocolate technologist, you're very aware of the key trends on the market.
What can you share about this and how can you customize solutions for your?
Usually you go with individual products, but if you want to.
To produce more quantity of your special products like prains, you can switch much easier with that system and come out with a lot more quantity than you used to when you were just making it by hand, and you can also do great stuff like tablets up to 2100 g.
It's no problem with this dosing system.
It's really an innovation and it's easy to use.
So if you set up a new product, you're really guided through everything, so it's very easy to adjust or setting up a new product.
