Cellular aquaculture as a third leg of the global supply chain

California-based BlueNalu specializes in lab-grown seafood and has recently announced its five-phase commercialization strategy. President and CEO Lou Cooperhouse spoke to FoodIngredientsFirst at Future Food-Tech London about how the so-called “cellular aquaculture” space can create a third leg to the global supply chain to feed the planet in the years ahead. The technology can also address issues from animal suffering and antibiotic use to human health fears around mercury and microplastics.
