WILD’s acquisition of DSF Nauen to be completed
With the approval of the German Anti-trust Authority, the sales contract between WILD, the world’s largest private producer of natural flavor ingredients for the food and beverage industry, and the DSF facility in Nauen can be completed.
12/12/05 The German Anti-trust Authority has approved the takeover of the Nauen facility of the German Deutsch Schweizerische Früchteverarbeitungs GmbH (DSF) in Constance by WILD, located in Heidelberg-Eppelheim, Germany.
With the approval of the German Anti-trust Authority, the sales contract between WILD, the world’s largest private producer of natural flavor ingredients for the food and beverage industry, and the DSF facility in Nauen can be completed.
WILD is expanding its fruit preparation business with the acquisition of the facility in Nauen where products for the dairy industry are produced. For WILD, the acquisition allows for an expansion of capacity, which fits perfectly into the infrastructure of the existing fruit preparation facilities in Rouen (France), Heidelberg (Germany), and Mragowo (Poland).
The products from this state-of-the-art, highly efficient production site near Berlin, Germany, incorporate the same quality philosophy of WILD whereby reliable, high quality products, delivered on time to all customers is critical for the success of the business. Background information: DSF had been acquired in July 2005 by the Austrian company AGRANA, located in Vienna, under postponing conditions for approval of the German Antitrust Authority. The Antitrust Authority intends to strengthen competition in the fruit preparations market in Germany and therefore required that AGRANA reduce its market share by selling part of DSF. According to the contracting parties, this can be fulfilled by WILD’s acquisition of the Nauen facility.
