Venus Spirits To Launch Gin Blend No. 2

12 Mar 2015 --- Venus Spirits is set to launch a second style of gin, created with a unique botanical blend and allowed to rest in American oak casks. The fourth spirit launched in only seven months from the Santa Cruz distillery, Venus Spirits Gin Blend No. 02 will join Gin Blend No. 01, El Ladrón Blanco Blue Agave Spirit and Wayward Whiskey Single Malt on shelves in Santa Cruz and the Bay Area.

The second spirit in the Venus Spirits brand will follow the hugely successful Gin Blend No. 01, which has been recognized for both taste and design by the Good Food Awards, Communication Arts and Type Directors Club. Distiller Sean Venus has taken a different approach with Blend No. 02 in both flavor and appearance. The unique botanical blend was specifically chosen to pair with American oak, and comes out of the barrel golden amber in color. You will recognize notes of orange and bay in the nose followed by cinnamon, vanilla, sage, and fennel. The herbal character of this gin is not lost by the oak but rather enhanced by the additional element. Perfect for sipping or mixing into your favorite cocktail, this gin will set the standard for an entirely new category of aged spirit.
