Sweet Success for Mailway... Again

The new MALTESERS and GALAXY hot chocolate drinks feature the same aseptic microwaveable cup-in-cup packaging as Moment du Chocolat.

23/02/08 Bradford-based contract packer, Mailway Packaging Solutions has again enjoyed the sweet taste of success by adding GALAXY and MALTESERS to the growing list of branded luxury drinks it is packing for Mars Consumer Drinks.

The new GALAXY and MALTESERS hot chocolate drinks come hot on the heels of TWIX and M&M’s super thick shakes and Moment du Chocolat – a Belgian hot chocolate drink that was initially trialled in the UK in late 2006.

The new MALTESERS and GALAXY hot chocolate drinks feature the same aseptic microwaveable cup-in-cup packaging as Moment du Chocolat, which keeps the outside of the hot drinks comfortably warm after microwaving, while the drink inside is piping hot. Meanwhile, the M&M’s and TWIX super thick shakes feature small packs of branded confectionery, which are added to the drink before consumption, and specially designed telescopic straw spoons.

Mailway’s sales director, Stewart Clough commented: “We have worked closely with Mars Consumer Drinks ever since we were able to demonstrate our ability to hit the right price point without sacrificing any of the pack quality and are delighted to now be handling five successful branded drinks for them.”
