Suntory constructs second soft drink production base in Shanghai

07/06/05 Leading Japanese beverage manufacturer Suntory announced that it has established Suntory (Shanghai) Foods, Co., Ltd., a new soft drink production base. The second such facility in Shanghai for Suntory, the new company is capitalized at $15.6 million.
The new facility has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million cases, and will produce soft drinks, including oolong tea and functional drinks. It plans to increase the capacity to 750 million cases in the future.
Suntory aims to expand its presence in the soft drink market in Shanghai and its vicinity, where steady growth is expected in years to come.
