CHICAGO – Sara Lee Corporation’s (NYSE: SLE) board of directors today declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.1975 per share on the company’s common stock, payable on July 10, 2006. The dividend is payable to stockholders of record at the close of business on June 1, 2006. Sara Lee Corporation has paid quarterly dividends to its shareholders continuously for 60 years and today’s announcement represents the 241st consecutive quarterly dividend declared by the corporation.
Based on yesterday’s closing price of $17.89 per share of Sara Lee common stock, the dividend announced today provides an annualized yield of 4.4% to the company’s shareholders.
