Wild Garden launches “Hummus to Go” single serve packs
Wild Garden TM “Hummus to Go” is made using an authentic Mediterranean recipe. The product is shelf-stable, which means the packages do not need to be refrigerated if unopened.
“We are very excited about this new convenience packaging,” said Mark D. Smith, vice president of sales. “The food industry has given our hummus products an enthusiastic welcome because they satisfy so many important consumer health concerns and have a zesty, appealing taste.”
Smith said Wild Garden TM Hummus Dip offers benefits that will appeal to both the consumer and the retailer.
“Consumers will appreciate the health benefits. Wild Garden TM Hummus Dip is all-natural, trans fat free with no preservatives, and is low in carbohydrates,” Smith said.
“Retailers, such as delicatessens, will find that being shelf-stable makes Wild Garden TM Hummus Dip a major economic choice, allowing them to enjoy bulk purchase discounts knowing the product will remain fresh for an extended period of time.”
“It’s a natural alternative to mayonnaise. It doesn’t require refrigeration and it is ready to eat,” Smith said.
Wild Garden TM produces a wide range of food products including the award winning Wild Garden™ Hummus Dip, Wild Garden™ Pita Chips and Wild Garden™ Trail Mixes.
In February, United Airlines added Wild Garden TM Hummus Dip to its popular “RightBite” snackboxes which offer high energy, trans fat free snacks to airline passengers.
