Pisco Portón, LLC Announces The Addition Of Pisco Portón Acholado To The Company Portfolio

12 July 2016 --- Pisco Portón, LLC announces the addition of Pisco Portón Acholado to the company's portfolio. Following the growth of the company's flagship, Pisco Portón Mosto Verde, the rise of its newest offering, La Caravedo Quebranta, and increased US consumer demand for high quality pisco, the company is providing an additional expression designed to fulfill consumers' tastes and round out the existing company portfolio. Pisco Portón Acholado is handcrafted with the same quality, authenticity, and heritage distinctive to Pisco Portón, LLC. A GOLD MEDAL winner at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and receiving 91 points and judges' accolades of Excellent, Highly Recommended at the 2016 Ultimate Beverage Challenge, Pisco Portón Acholado adds sophisticated complexity to any cocktail.

"We are thrilled to offer Pisco Portón Acholado to the US market and to expand our award winning portfolio," says Brent Kallop, President of Pisco Portón LLC. "US consumers are looking for high quality pisco with demand increasing 59% in 2015. Our flagship, Pisco Portón Mosto Verde, leads the pisco category as the #1 exported pisco to the US from Peru, and our pisco puro, La Caravedo Quebranta, is already the third largest after only 14 months in the US. We wanted to expand our offering to include an acholado that provides a premium blend, rounds out the portfolio to offer all three styles of Peruvian pisco, and provides an exceptional cocktail experience. We are proud of Pisco Portón Acholado' s recent awards and appreciate the recognition of our efforts to produce the finest handcrafted piscos."

All expressions are produced by renowned pisco authority and Pisco Portón's Master Distiller Johnny Schuler at Hacienda La Caravedo located in Ica, Peru which was established in 1684.  Pisco Portón Acholado is a pisco acholado, which means it is a blend of two or more of the eight grape varietals allowed by Peruvian law to make pisco. Pisco Portón Acholado is a smooth, delicate blend of three estate-grown grapes (quebranta, italia, and torontel).  Master Distiller Johnny Schuler's artistry and deep experience create a unique blend that is versatile, mixable, and pairs well with a variety of flavors.  There are eight pounds of grapes in every bottle.

"It's exciting to bring Pisco Portón Acholado to the US market, and it allows us to reach more people and share the heritage of our native spirit and the tradition of Hacienda La Caravedo," says Master Distiller Johnny Schuler.  "Pisco Portón Acholado's notes of citrus, herbs, and orange blossoms provide a wonderful and exciting cocktail experience."
