Novozymes Regains Lead Position on Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Biotechnology Sector
Novozymes led its sector from 2000 to 2007. Now, in 2009, Novozymes has again been ranked the leader of the Biotechnology sector because it has improved its scores covering all three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic.
10 Sep 2009 --- The Dow Jones Sustainability Index provides an in-depth measurement of how sustainable a company’s operations are. Beyond financial, environmental and social factors, the Index evaluates important aspects such as best practice within Innovation Management, Research & Development, Environmental policy & management, Stakeholder Engagement, and much more.
“The factors evaluated are important in assessing whether companies will be successful and survive in ever-changing market conditions, and thus, critically, whether they're likely to increase shareholder value.
