NatureFlex Film Makes its Mark in Japan
The aim of JORA is to encourage people to utilise organic resources in a wide range of applications and to promote material recycling and reduction of environmental impacts in Japan.
Jan 3 2012 --- Innovia Films’ NatureFlex has been certified by the Japan Organics Recycling Association (JORA) and can use the Biomass Mark.
The aim of JORA is to encourage people to utilise organic resources in a wide range of applications and to promote material recycling and reduction of environmental impacts in Japan. There are 184 members of JORA in total (including Innovia Films).
The Biomass Mark is part of the “Biomass Nippon Strategy” which aims to decrease the reliance on fossil fuels and establish a sustainable society in Japan. The logo can be used for products which utilise resources derived from photosynthetic organisms and have been shown to satisfy the relevant quality, regulations and standards.
Transparent, compostable NatureFlex NVS has been certified by JORA with a certification number of 110001.
Innovia Films is the first foreign based company to receive certification from JORA and be eligible to use the biomass mark for its NatureFlex brand.
