National Dairy Acquires Promised Land Dairy

14/07/09 National Dairy, LLC, one of the nation’s largest dairy processing companies, this week announced the purchase of all-natural milk processor, Promised Land Dairy Distribution, Inc.
“Promised Land Dairy is a highly regarded brand that enhances our product mix and fits extremely well with our distribution footprint,” said Rick Beaman, President of National Dairy. “Promised Land’s products are sold primarily through supermarkets and other major stores in many of the states where we already have a strong distribution network.”
Victory Partners, LLC, a Texas-based financial advisory and private equity firm serving the middle market, represented the owners of Promised Land Dairy in the transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
“Our Victory Partners team worked closely with Promised Land Dairy to find a buyer that would fit with both the company culture and business needs,” Todd Lazenby, founder of Victory Partners said. “Now is an ideal time to transition the brand to a major processor with exceptional resources that can build upon the success of the Promised Land brand and grow it into a national brand.”
Promised Land Dairy will continue to operate with the same management team. It distributes through major retailers in Texas and in 25 states. Promised Land Dairy is the most recognized provider of an all natural, all Jersey cow, premium milk product. The milk is provided by the Just Jersey Co-op, the first single breed co-op in the United States. Its all Jersey cow milk product is considered better tasting and healthier due to its naturally higher calcium, protein, nonfat solids and milk-fat content. Products offered by Promised Land Dairy include: white milk, flavored milk, seasonal flavors, half & half and heavy whipping cream.
