27/10/08 Milk Link continues to strengthen its relationships with UK supermarkets by becoming a leading supplier of own-label flavoured milks to Tesco with the launch of a new range of milks. The new range is available in Chocolate, Banana, Strawberry and Organic Vanilla flavours in one litre family sized packs.
In addition, Milk Link has also secured listings for its Mars Family Refuel and new Galaxy chocolate milk drinks. All five products, which are being produced at the Kirkcudbright creamery, are packaged in Tetra-Pak cartons and are positioned in the main milk chiller.
In addition, Moo One% milk has been launched in all Tesco stores. This latest listing will provide a further boost to Milk Link’s long life milk sales and follows Moo One% listings in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose stores across the UK.
Milk Link is currently installing a new TR/22 gable top filler at its Kirkcudbright Creamery to increase its production capacity as demand for its portfolio of milk drinks grows.
Commenting on the Tesco listings, Nick Bartlett, Milk Link Business Unit Controller, said “The securing of these important new listings with Tesco are, we hope, just the start of a closer association with Britain’s leading supermarket. Sales of flavoured milks have shown strong growth recently and Milk Link’s market leading production and development capabilities leaves us well positioned to build upon this further.”
