McGuigan Simeon Wines acquires Merbein operations
Buys the bottling and warehousing operation in Victoria from Beringer Blass Wines Estates.
25/01/2005 McGuigan Simeon Wines has acquired a bottling and warehousing operation at Merbein near Mildura in Victoria from Beringer Blass Wines Estates - the wine arm of global beverages firm Foster`s Group Ltd - for an undisclosed sum.
McGuigan said a winery with in excess of 17 million litres bulk wine storage and 15,000 tonnes annual crush capability was included in the operation.
The capacity of the bottling operations is more than four million nine-litre cases a year.
