Martini Launches New Bottled Cocktails
24 May 2013 --- Martini have launched two refreshing new bottled cocktails: Martini Royale Bianco and Martini Royale Rosato. Both cocktails, which are made according to the taste traditions of European royalty, are best enjoyed chilled and with ice.
A slice of orange can be added to Martini Royale Rosato to enhance the cocktail’s taste. Martini Royale Bianco can be served with a slice of lime and garnished with fresh mint. The cocktails are best served in large wine glasses with lots of ice.
The 8% vol. Martini Royale Bianco and Rosato cocktails are being sold in 75 cl bottles. One bottle is enough for five cocktails. Martini Royale Bianco is made of Martini Bianco and Martini Prosecco. Martini Royale Rosato is made of Martini Rosato and Martini Prosecco.
The name ‘Martini Royale’ is inspired by the historical connections between Martini and European royalty. The drink originates from northern Italy and is a favourite of high society. It used to be made of vermouth or bitter, which was mixed with sparkling wine. In 1893 the House of Savoy gave Martini its permission to use its coat of arms on the drink’s label. Martini was also given permission to use the coats of arms of Spain and Portugal. Martini is still proud to present these three coats on its sparkling wines.
Martini organised a massive talent search for the launch of the Martini Royale cocktails, as a result of which they found new male and female stars for the brand. Tom-Olaf Urb and Helen Adamson made it to the final from Estonia.
