09/03/07 The 21st International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (known as "Chinaplas 2007") will be held from May 21-24, 2007 at the Chinese Export Commodities Fair Pazhou Complex (Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre), Pazhou, Guangzhou, P.R. China. The unprecedented scale of the coming edition with the largest area and number of exhibitors are definitely the key to success for numerous local and international enterprises who are anxious to thrive in Chinese market and search for reliable trading partners within the plastics and rubber industries.
Chinaplas 2007 is the ever largest event since its first inception. It will occupy 12 exhibition halls with an exhibition area of 102,000sqm, a surge of 11% compared with last event in Shanghai. The current edition attracts over 1,600 exhibitors, coming from more than 20 countries and regions whilst pavilions from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, PR China and Taiwan Province, United Kingdom and USA will showcase their cutting edge technologies with a wide range of chemicals and raw materials and 1,200 sets of machines at the fair. It is expected that this mega show will attract over 60,000 visitors, including 15% from overseas.
In less than 3 months, Chinaplas 2007 will unveil very soon. The promotional work is now in full swing with an aim of attracting all professional visitors coming from different countries and regions. After the completion of press conferences held in Shanghai and Beijing, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, the organizer of Chinaplas 2007, invited near a hundred representatives from the media, associations and enterprises to attend another Chinaplas 2007 press conference this afternoon in Guangzhou. During the press conference, the good progress of Chinaplas 2007 and the present development of the plastics and rubber industries in Guangdong province were reported.

Chinaplas also witnesses the growth of the plastics and rubber industries in China. Up to present, China has grown into a giant in the plastics industry. The production volume of plastics processing in Guangdong Province ranked the top for many consecutive years within the whole country. In 2006, its total production volume reached about 6,500,000 tones, 25% of the total amount in China. Guangdong Province is also the second in terms of production volume of plastics machineries in China. The proportion of producing synthetic resins among plastics is on the rise, amounting to 10% in 2006. Hence, Chinaplas perfectly provides a well established and high quality platform for traders to enhance business opportunities and thrive in today's plastics and rubber industries in China.
Mr. Fu An, President of Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, commented a high value on Chinaplas 2007 during today's press conference. He expressed that the brilliant achievement committed by Chinaplas which is held under an annual basis is a distinctive record in the sector of plastics and rubber exhibition in China.
Mr. Stanely Chu, Chairman of Adsale, said that Chinaplas has been enlisted as the "UFI Approved Event" by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) last year. It has become the only plastics and rubber trade show in PR China honored with the label of "UFI Approved Event. Apart from that, Chinaplas 2006 has won the award of "Top Ten The Most Influential China Brand Exhibitions" in "The Star of China Expo Ceremony". The award ascertains that Chinaplas is well-recognized in the industry. Mr Chu further explained the underlying reasons of winning two distinctive recognitions are due to the high degree of internationalization, good service quality and professional management of the show.
In line with industrial development, Chinaplas 2007 will tie-in with the theme of "Bringing Innovations to Life, and Success to your Business" and demonstrate various plastics and rubber materials and technologies for daily lives and industrial use. To assist trade buyers in sourcing their targeted business partners, Chinaplas 2007 will be divided into eight theme zones. The first floor of the exhibition hall will be mainly Machinery Zones while the second floor will showcase chemicals & raw materials and semi-finished products. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese Export Machinery and Materials Hall also displays a dazzling array of domestic plastics and rubber machines at competitive prices. It will be an excellent meeting place for business development between overseas buyers and local manufacturers.
Furthermore, there will be a series of onsite activities concurrently held during Chinaplas, such as CEO Forum, Charity Bazzar, etc.. On May 20, 2007, one day prior to the show opening of Chinaplas 2007 (May 21), there will be an industrial summit, namely China-India Plastics Industry Summit, jointly organized by China Plastics Processing Industry Association, Plastindia Foundation and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
