Market Demand for Canadian Healthy Oil Solution Increasing
Cargill’s Specialty Canola Oils Program is built on the strength of VICTORY and InVigor Health Hybrids, and participating growers are helping Cargill lead the way in delivering healthy alternatives to over 150 end-use companies.
30/11/07 To keep pace with the exceptional and continuous demand for healthy high oleic specialty canola oils, Cargill is reminding growers to lock in next season crops to guarantee a continuous supply of such oils for consumers and food companies.
With strong canola prices, Cargill’s Specialty Canola Oils Program allows growers to establish a risk free price hedge on the first 10 bushels an acre of production. They also have the opportunity to establish an attractive prime basis that can provide over $11 a bushel to many growers and a significantly higher per acre return above commodity canola.
In addition to solid markets and reliable risk free pricing, growers can count on the program for exceptional agronomic advantage, excellent yield, effective weed control, superior per acre returns, grower selected delivery periods, and on-farm pick up where available.

Cargill has added unique features to further enhance the contracting program for 2008. These include new flagship VICTORY hybrids with the Roundup Ready trait for top performance, plus the introduction of InVigor Health hybrids containing LibertyLink technology for exceptional strength.
