Magic Hat Releases Big Hundo IPA Outside Vermont For First Time
12 Mar 2015 --- Magic Hat Brewing Company recently released Big Hundo IPA – a hophead’s dream – outside of Vermont for the first time ever.
A beloved beer bursting with huge hop presence, Big Hundo tips the scales at the absolute peak of bitterness with 100 IBUs. Dry hopped with Simcoe, it gives off a heady hop aroma and is accompanied by a flattering dark golden body. Big Hundo has an ABV of 9.0%.
“When we brewed Big Hundo, we wanted to create a really big, bold IPA that hoppy beer drinkers would love,” said Chris Rockwood, Head Brewer, Magic Hat. “We combined a variety of hops to create big citrus and pine flavors, balanced by some malt sweetness and just a hint of alcohol warmth on the backend. We’re really excited that more beer drinkers will have the opportunity to try it.”
Previously, this bold, small-batch beer was only available on draft at select bars and restaurants in Vermont. Due to popular demand, Big Hundo will now be available in 22 oz. bottles at select retailers and bottle shops, as well as on draft at top beer bars across the country.
