Lincoln Romero Joins FMC Health and Nutrition as Latin America Business Director
30 Aug 2013 --- FMC Corporation has announced that Lincoln Romero has joined FMC Health and Nutrition as business director for Latin America, a newly created position to manage the company’s already significant presence in that region and pave the way for additional growth opportunities.
With more than 20 years experience in leadership positions at specialty chemical and biotechnology companies, Lincoln will drive the business and financial results in the region and work in collaboration with the global Health and Nutrition business leaders to define and lead the growth strategy in Latin America. “Lincoln has deep specialty chemical experience in Latin American and a solid understanding of evolving opportunities in the regulated markets particular to that region,” said Mary T. Clarke, general manager, Food Ingredients.
“We fully expect Lincoln will lead FMC’s expansion as a solutions provider in food, pharmaceutical, personal care and specialty markets in Latin America. We have an outstanding FMC team on the ground there and I’m confident Lincoln’s passion and broad commercial experience will help them take advantage of new opportunities for the markets we serve.”
Before joining FMC, Lincoln most recently served as managing director of Superbac Biotechnology Solutions, a Brazilian start--up company focused on providing sustainable products and solutions in agribusiness, sanitation and bioremediation. Prior to that, he held numerous marketing, sales and general management roles for companies like Croda do Brasil LTDA, a subsidiary of Croda International, and Uniqema Especialidades Químicas LTDA, a specialty division of ICI Group of Companies.
Lincoln has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo Institute of Chemistry.
