ADM is major corn and soya processing Company and has announced recently massive investments in the fast growing Bioethanol market.
17/07/07 Bio Springer a subsidiary of Lesaffre Group (France) has announced the construction of a new yeast extracts plant in the United States, after two capacity expansions on its European sites.
The new plant will be located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on the same site as the yeast factory recently built by Red Star Yeast Corporation, a joint venture between ADM and Lesaffre. The plant will use the last technology developments of Bio Springer, and yeast will be supplied from the neighbouring Red Star plant.
The facility will be commissioned in the first half of 2010, with a capacity designed to full fill Bio Springers’ north American customers needs.
“The plant will be primarily dedicated to serve our United states and Canadian customers allowing us to offer safer, faster supply as well as better service” says Antoine Baule CEO for Bio Springer.
Bio Springer is the world leader for yeast extracts in savoury and biotechnology applications.
