Kashi Launches TLC Cookies to its Successful Snack Product Line
The TLC cookies combine Kashi's signature seven whole grain blend with hearty, natural ingredients such as peanuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, cranberries, walnuts, shredded coconut, flax seeds and dark chocolate.
14/09/06 Kashi Company, the premier natural food products company, today announced the addition of TLC chewy cookies to its successful snack product line. The new line is the first Kashi product in this food segment and the first cookie in the marketplace to include seven whole grains.
"We are excited to offer consumers another snack food that they can feel great about enjoying," says Jeff Johnson, senior brand manager and nutritionist for Kashi. "We saw a gap in the cookie market for a product that tastes great and provides real positive nutrition. So we created the Kashi TLC chewy cookies to offer decadent flavors and textures while also providing natural ingredients and true nutrition."
Kashi TLC cookies will be available in Oatmeal Dark Chocolate, Happy Trail Mix and Oatmeal Raisin Flax varieties. The TLC cookies combine Kashi's signature seven whole grain blend with hearty, natural ingredients such as peanuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, cranberries, walnuts, shredded coconut, flax seeds and dark chocolate. The result is a delicious chewy cookie that has a home-baked look, feel and taste.
In keeping with the Kashi tradition of creating all-natural foods, TLC cookies are minimally processed and free from artificial ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. "Our cookies deliver more fiber, more whole grains, and a lot less sugar than traditional premium cookies," Johnson says. "Kashi continues to prove that snacking can be tasty and indulgent while still having real nutritional value."
The Happy Trail Mix cookie contains cranberries, raisins, sunflower seeds, peanuts and shredded coconut, and is the first trail mix cookie on the market. Oatmeal Dark Chocolate features whole rolled oats with rugged chunks of dark chocolate, and the Oatmeal Raisin Flax variety boasts 600 mg of Omega-3s, which come from flax seeds and walnuts.
Kashi TLC cookies will be sold in 8-cookie cartons in grocer aisles nationwide beginning in August.
