Kalsec Expands Chinese Presence
This new office reflects Kalsec’s commitment to support customers locally and deliver spice & herb extracts, natural colours and natural antioxidants to food and beverage manufacturers in China.
12 Mar 2010 --- Kalsec, Inc., opened the doors of its new sales offices in Shanghai, China on February 21, 2010. Kalamazoo-based Kalsec is a privately held producer and marketer of natural extracts for use in food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications. It markets globally recognized food ingredient brands including Aquaresins, Durabrite Colours, Herbalox Seasoning and ClearCap Super Soluble Capsicum. This new office reflects Kalsec’s commitment to support customers locally and deliver spice & herb extracts, natural colours and natural antioxidants to food and beverage manufacturers in China.
Ms. Wei Sun has been appointed Kalsec Country Manager in China, and John Jiang has taken on the role of Sales Manager for this region, reporting to Ms. Sun. Two food ingredient distributors, Cotion Ltd and Bronson & Jacobs (Shanghai) International Trading have been appointed as Kalsec partners. Additional distributors for China will be announced in due course. Kalsec utilises the company Gold Treasure for support of their hop products in the China market. The local presence will enable Kalsec to offer customised solutions for manufacturers in this region as well as providing the opportunity to learn more about the market from product developers in China. Together with the new office, Kalsec plans to utilise its existing applications facility that it currently staffs and operates in Asia.
Kalsec will participate at the Food Ingredients China (FIC) tradeshow in cooperation with Cotion, Ltd. FIC will be held in Shanghai March 23-25, 2010. “Together with our partners in China, we are excited to have this permanent, much needed presence in Shanghai and look forward to bringing more of our products to this region,” said Ms. Sun.
