Kalsec Expands China Operations with New Managers and Applications Lab

27 Mar 2013 --- Kalsec continues to increase its presence in China with the appointment of two new managers and the addition of a new applications lab in Shanghai.

Chris Simons, formerly commercial manager of Kalsec Europe, will be the new country manager in China relocating from the UK to Shanghai. Simons has been with Kalsec since 2007 and has been managing various aspects of the Kalsec China business for the past three years.

Speaking about the appointment Paul Filby, Kalsec’s Vice President of International Business said "we are delighted that Chris is able to take up this position in China. His previous work for the company in Europe has demonstrated his sound business management credentials and he brings with him a wealth of International experience". Filby also wishes well Mrs. Wei Sun, former Country Manager, who has taken an appointment with Beijing Zhongbai as one of their company partners.

In May 2013, Kalsec will officially open its newest application laboratory at the Kalsec facility in Shanghai. The laboratory is equipped with the latest in food processing capabilities and will allow Kalsec to work closely with regional customers on concept and formulation development. At this time we are also pleased to announce the appointment of Louis Rao as Product Applications Manager Kalsec China. Louis joins Kalsec having worked previously at Unilever, Kraft and Nestle.
