Honey Version of Three Barrels Brandy to be Launched
11 Jul 2014 --- The Three Barrels French brandy brand is being extended with the launch of a honey version from next week.
Three Barrels Honey, which is 30% alcohol by volume, is being launched in Morrisons stores from Monday on a two-month exclusive basis before being rolled out to the rest of the take-home trade in September by brand owner William Grant & Sons UK (formerly First Drinks).
Demand for drinks infused with honey flavours has grown over the last two years, particularly with the introduction in 2012 of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, which is one of the fastest-growing brands in the UK off-trade drinks market.
Three Barrels Honey is being targeted at younger consumer group (30-plus years), rather than the older drinkers of the parent brand. Morrisons will be promoting the brand in-store with displays and point of sale.
