5/18/2011 --- FMC BioPolymer announced a price increase of up to 15 percent, or as contracts permit, on all FMC branded1 microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), carrageenan and alginate based products, effective June 15, 2011. The global price increase affects all product lines across food/specialty and personal care customers. FMC BioPolymer is a division of FMC Corporation.
While FMC BioPolymer continues to identify and implement productivity improvements to mitigate the impact of rising cost, continued increases in raw materials, energy & transportation costs make this pricing action necessary in order to continue to provide the highest quality products to the food, personal care, industrial and pharmaceutical industries.
