Famous Brands acquires Baltimore Foods
Baltimore Foods, a manufacturer and distributor of ice cream, is headquartered in Gauteng and has manufacturing plants in Centurion and Durban.
10/05/05 South African based Famous Brands has announced that it has acquired a 100% interest in the business of Baltimore Foods, a manufacturer and distributor of ice cream.
The purchase consideration is R14m, with the effective transaction date being April 1.
Baltimore Foods is headquartered in Gauteng and has manufacturing plants in Centurion and Durban, plus a third party contract with an external vendor in Cape Town.
The company also has warehousing and distribution facilities in Centurion, Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit and Pietersburg.
