Cadbury to invest 58 million euros in Birmingham plant

10/05/05 Cadbury’s historic plant at Bournvile, Birmingham is to be expanded with a 58 million euro investment in a 20,000 tonne moulding plant. The move, which is due to be completed in the autumn of 2006, will include new wrapping and packing lines plus a chocolate-making area.
The company said that the expansion was in response to growing demand for its Dairy Milk products. Dairy Milk is the number one brand in the UK with consumers buying £320m worth every year. The brand celebrates its centenary this year.
