The plush, elegant space will seat 50 and feature a wine list with more than 100 different wines, available in several different pour sizes, a full bar, cheeses from Italy, France and Spain.
07/11/07 European sophistication and one of the city's most extensive wine lists is coming to Downtown Detroit with the opening of Enoteca - Campo Marzio in mid-December.
Enoteca - Campo Marzio, the latest Downtown venture by restaurateur and developer Nino Cutraro, will be located in the heart of Detroit's center hub- Campus Martius-at the lobby level of the First National Building, one of Downtown Detroit's most legendary buildings. The First National Building is located at 660 Woodward Ave.
"With Enoteca, I wanted to create the same feeling of the small, intimate wine bars that have been in Rome, Paris and other European cities for more than 100 years," said Cutraro. "It truly is one of the most unique spaces I think you'll find in the city. I'm excited to bring it to one of the premier spaces in Detroit."
The plush, elegant space will seat 50 and feature a wine list with more than 100 different wines, available in several different pour sizes, a full bar, cheeses from Italy, France and Spain, Italian-style paninis, caviars, hand-made chocolates and other small-plate dishes.
Cutraro's unique touches to Enoteca's design by Birmingham, Michigan-based Ron & Roman LLC includes a custom, hand-crafted marble bar, ----- decor and outdoor patio seating along Campus Martius and Cadillac park for warm-weather dining and tastings.
"Enoteca - Campo Marzio is the first space of its kind to reside directly in the heart of Detroit," Cutraro said. "It's an intimate place where people can meet, relax and talk during the week day, or experience a night on the town with some truly exceptional wines and culinary delights. It gives me tremendous pleasure to have created a place that's so reminiscent of my favorite wine bars in Italy."
Enoteca is scheduled to open at the end of November.
