Emmi Interfrais SA Acquires Mittelland Region Customers from Kellenberger Frisch Service AG

Emmi Interfrais is taking over this service pursuant to changes in the corporate strategy of Kellenberger Frisch Service AG. It has also been agreed to absorb the personnel involved with this part of the business.

2 Dec 2009 --- Emmi Interfrais SA is expanding its territory by taking some customers of Kellenberger Frisch Service AG.

Effective 16 December 2009, Emmi Interfrais SA - a trading company of Emmi Schweiz AG - will be handling deliveries of fresh products to some 250 retail customers from the cantons of Bern, Freiburg, Solothurn, Basel-Land and Basel-Stadt previously managed by Kellenberger Frisch Service AG, Zurich. Emmi Interfrais is taking over this service pursuant to changes in the corporate strategy of Kellenberger Frisch Service AG. It has also been agreed to absorb the personnel involved with this part of the business.

The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction, which was approved on 27 November 2009 by the Federal Competition Commission.

Kellenberger FS AG is a trading company in Zurich with a long tradition and employs a staff of about 150. Its product range includes fruits and vegetables, heat-and-eat products, convenience and dairy products and a wide array of frozen foods. Among its customers are restaurants, hotels, staff canteens, hospitals, group homes, take-away establishments, party services, large retailers, chain stores and wholesalers. Kellenberger FS has a high-volume phone sales service that contacts customers daily. Our sales consultants visit and advise customers in central Switzerland, Aargau, Zurich and eastern Switzerland. Fresh and frozen deliveries are carried out daily with sophisticated, eco-friendly two-zone lorries and delivery vans for combined transport.
