Emmi Elects Konrad Graber as New Chairman of the Board
Konrad Graber, member of the Board of Directors since 2006, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emmi AG. He succeeds Fritz Wyss, who did not stand for re-election.
22/05/09 At Shareholder's Meeting in Sursee (canton of Lucerne), the shareholders of Emmi AG agreed to all the proposals made by the Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by 801 shareholders, representing 4,116,146 of registered shares or 76.94 percent of the share capital.
Konrad Graber, member of the Board of Directors since 2006, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emmi AG. He succeeds Fritz Wyss, who did not stand for re-election. Thomas Oehen-Bühlmann was elected as a new member of the Board of Directors. Thomas Oehen succeeds Peter Bühlmann, who did not stand for re-election. The re-election of all other members of the Board of Directors was approved by the shareholders.
The shareholders approved the proposed dividend of CHF 2.60 (gross), payable minus 35% withholding tax on 25 May 2009. PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd., Lucerne was confirmed as the statutory auditor for financial year 2009.
Emmi's outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors, Fritz Wyss, confirmed the overall positive performance in the first quarter of this year to the Shareholders' Meeting. "The start of 2009 has been successful. I firmly believe that we will be able to maintain sales at last year's levels and achieve a net profit margin of over 2% again this year."
