Diageo Announces New Leader in Asia-Pacific
Gilbert will take over from John Pollaers, who has held the role since the formation of Diageo Asia-Pacific as a separate region within Diageo in February 2007.
01/07/09 Diageo, the world’s largest multinational alcohol group, has announced that Gilbert Ghostine has been appointed President of Diageo’s Asia-Pacific region. He will report to Ivan Menezes, Chairman of Diageo Asia-Pacific.
Ghostine moves from the role of Managing Director Diageo Continental Europe and will take over the position vacated by John Pollaers, who has held the role since the formation of Diageo Asia-Pacific as a separate operation within Diageo in February 2007.
Diageo, maker of Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker, operates in seven markets within the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand.
