CNI wins the prize for the best export agent for 2005

22/06/06 The French Ministry of Economy, Finances and Industry awarded CNI - Colloides Naturels International, the grand prize of best export agent for 2005.

The award ceremony was held on 20th June, rue de Bercy, in the presence of Christine Lagarde, Delegate Minister of Foreign Trade.

This prize is awarded each year to the most successful companies on the basis of criteria such as the percentage of turnover from exports, infrastructures, subsidiaries and distribution networks abroad, customs statistics and growth in terms of turnover.

CNI, a family business created in 1895, is part of the Iranex group, led by Stéphane & Gontran Dondain. CNI is the leading international manufacturer of Acacia gum (Arabic gum). The company is present in more than 75 countries via its 8 distribution subsidiaries and a network of 45 agents. CNI exports almost 90% of its production. It supplies the largest international food groups for applications in drinks, confectionary, dairy products, nutrition, food supplements, etc. 

Acacia gum is an exudate from Acacia, harvested in the sub-Saharan region which spreads from Mauritania to Somalia. It is well known in the food industry for its nutritional and technological properties. CNI transforms the gum at its factory in Serqueux, France, before exporting its products throughout the world.
