Borealis to Showcase Plastic Packaging Solutions at Plastpol

The Polish market for rigid and flexible plastic packaging offers considerable growth opportunities driven by economic development, consumer trends towards attractive packaging and technological developments. In fact, Poland boasts an annual growth of 11% in plastics consumption and a demand for polyolefins in excess of 1 million tonnes in 2006.

Polish customers can benefit from the proximity of a new Borstar polyethylene plant with capacity of 350,000 tonnes per year and a recently expanded Borstar polypropylene plant of 300,000 tonnes per year in Schwechat, Austria.

Borealis will also feature solutions for the automotive industry that raise productivity while improving impact, scratch resistance and appearance of specific exterior and interior components.
