ADM Named Most Admired Food Production Company

5 Mar 2010 --- Archer Daniels Midland Company was ranked the most admired company in the food production industry for the second year in a row by Fortune magazine. Each year, Fortune publishes a list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies,” which ranks companies in a variety of industries ranging from food production and pharmaceuticals to insurance and telecommunications.

Fortune also ranked ADM at the top spot in the food production industry in seven of the nine categories by which companies are evaluated: innovation, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of products/services. In addition, ADM improved its overall score from its 2009 industry-leading ranking.
The Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies list is considered a benchmark of corporate reputation. A total of 667 companies from 33 countries were evaluated by more than 4,000 executives, directors and analysts. Survey respondents were asked to rate companies in their industry on nine criteria, from investment value to social responsibility.
