Successful sugar reduction in juices

Riedel attended the “World of Private Label” (PLMA) international trade show, in Amsterdam, last month and presented its range of juices. Speaking to FoodIngredientsFirst, Bas Boswinkel says: "If you look at the juices market, you see a decline in he last three to four years and this is driven by consumers not wanting as much sugar in their products. We have introduced a new range of juices, 70 percent fruit and 30 percent water, which we have enriched with added flavors, so you get the same flavor but 30 percent less sugar. It has a full taste, we also introduced a 35 percent fruit juice and 65 percent water beverage which is a light product with lemonade and fibers, ideal for the summer period."
